Browsing through a shop selling household and kitchen items last weekend, I saw so many thing I wanted to buy – large glass canisters, rustic and aged wooden boards, glass cake display dishes, distressed-wood poster frames, plates and mugs in different shapes and sizes.
Another time we visited a deli and I took note of the slightly haphazard way in which the cookbooks on sale were placed, the light-blue painted wooden walls, the bench in the corner with Jack Johnson playing in the background, the smell of freshly-brewed coffee and the sound of happy children being served ice-cream sundaes.
At a friend’s wedding, we chance a upon a little cafe where customers sit in a garden of apple trees washed with late afternoon sunlight, little dogs at their feet, nattering away.
I wish I could make it all mine.
How do you follow your dream?
